A long way from starch to Nestlé cereals - interview, 2020-07-20

When studying at the university, I signed a scholarship agreement with Bydgoskie Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego (BPPZ), obliging me to work for at least five years at the sponsor’s company (you were exempted only if you were employed at the university or joined the army). At that time, the recruitment at the university was “frozen”, so in 1977, I landed in Toruń, where the local starch house was installing a new line for cornflakes production. I started as a clerk at the investments department. Then I was transferred to the production department, and became its head, and in 1987, I was appointed the director of Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego (PPZ) in Toruń. By the way, at that time I was one of the youngest directors of a company in Poland. Read in Polish: Przeczytaj cały numer „Strefy Biznesu”, wyd. czerwiec lipiec 2020 >>>
