Winners of the Year 2014-12-19

Last Friday we learnt the names of 2014 winners of the Employee of the Year contest. The results were announced during pre-Christmas meeting of CPP leadership with guest appearance of the president of Torun, Michal Zaleski. At the meeting the president took the opportunity to wish all CPP employees Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Central Europe gathered in Warsaw 2014-12-12

As every year, also this one, the CE cluster CEO Wojciech B. Sobieszak invited CPW CE cluster market heads to a Holiday meeting. At the end of last week the guests gathered in Warsaw for almost final summary of 2014 results and plans for the coming year.

The day before going to a training camp preceding another season of starts, Michał Kwiatkowski, this year’s world champion of cycling elite in the common-start race, has given his Christmas wishes to Wojciech B. Sobieszak, President of CPP Toruń-Pacific. That meeting was also a good occasion of expressing warm thanks for the long-standing support provided to the Polish cycling association by the company of CPP Toruń-Pacific.

Wishes to the Seniors of CPP 2014-12-05

Although December is one of the coolest months in our climate, it is also full of some warm days. Such a day was undoubtedly the eve of St. Nicholas’ festivity of this year. It was just then, that the seniors of CPP Toruń-Pacific, i.e. the retired employees of our company, met at a ceremonial dinner in which Wojciech B. Sobieszak, President CPP, was participating.

Meeting after many years 2014-10-28

For some persons, it was a tourist trip, while for others - a sentimental one. Mentioned here is the visit to Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific and the town of Toruń made by a group of the Greater Poland’s food industry specialists united in the Association of Food Industry Engineers and Technicians (AFIE&T). EngD Józef Gładkowski, president of the AFIE&T Greater Polish branch, still exactly remembers that plant of the former Potato Industry Enterprise in Toruń. It had been just at that plant, when in the 1970s he was performing construction supervision of the corn flakes production line. Today in this factory, manufactured are the cereal breakfast flakes of Nestle brand.

Rainbow jersey for Michał Kwiatkowski 2014-09-29

Today in Torun, we are celebrating the success of Michal Kwiatkowski, who yesterday won the UCI Road World Championship. Our joy is multiplied by the fact that we had our share in this success. Michal, started his adventure with cycling at the age of 10 in Torun Pacific Cycling Club– the club, CPP Torun-Pacific has closely cooperated with for the last 20 years. With PACIFIC club he celebrated his first national and international successes. Cooperation with the club also allowed him to begin his professional career as a cyclist in Omega Pharma Quick Step group. We are very proud of Michal, who as the first Polish cyclist reached for the exclusive rainbow jersey of the world champion! Well done!

CPP awarded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Business Centre Club 2014-09-17

In the 6th edition of competition Ambassador of Polish Economy 2014, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the Business Centre Club have awarded some firms being the flagships of Polish economy and reliable partners at international contacts. In the circle of laureates, there appeared four firms from our region, namely: Mentor SA from Toruń in the category of European Brand, Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific and GAM Sp. z o.o. in the category of Foreign Firms’ Partner, as well as Hydro-Vacuum from Grudziądz in the category of Creator of the XXI Century Solutions.

The head of Nestle Continuous Excellence program on his visit to Poland 2014-06-03

Andreas Berger, head of the program Nestle Continuous Excellence has visited the factories of Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific in Toruń and Lubicz, as well as the Distribution Centre at Grębocin. The visit to Poland is a fragment of a major “tour” of factories managed by the firm of Cereal Partners Worldwide in which Nestle SA has 50% of shares. The visit was organized by Jerome Jaton, Head of Operations - Cereal Partners Worldwide. Two other persons accompanying Andreas Berger have also arrived to Poland, namely Christophe Andrin – CPW Head of Operations – Continental Europe, and Thierry Friant who is responsible for NCE implementation in CPW as w whole.

Jacek Vincent Rostowski, former Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Polish Government, a candidate of the Platforma Obywatelska party in the Kujawy-Pomorze Province for the European Parliament, had a meeting on Monday with presidents of the Region’s biggest firms and at the same time members of the Toruń Lodge of Business Centre Club. He was speaking about the Ukrainian crisis and about the forthcoming election to the European Parliament. Participating in the meeting were, among others, Jan Wyrowiński - Vice-Speaker of the Polish Senate, and Piotr Całbecki - Speaker of the Kujawy-Pomorze Province.

‘Wilam’ statuette of the theatre audience for Jarosław Felczykowski! This most popular actor of the Wilam Horzyca Theatre has received, beside the statuette, also a special award funded by the company CPP Toruń-Pacific, which was handed to him by its President - Wojciech B. Sobieszak. This gift, funded on the occasion of International Theatre Holiday, is a tourist trip for two persons.

Some students from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Nicholas Copernicus University (UMK) have been the first who started today a series of workshops within the Yes 4 Yeti initiative. The Youth Employment & Training Initiative is a local idea of CPP Toruń-Pacific.

The Shareholders grant discharge 2014-03-04

It was the shortest Ordinary Meeting of Shareholders of CPP in our history – that is how Wojciech B. Sobieszak, President of the CPP Board summarized the meeting held on Tuesday that took not more than half an hour. – Our excellent results from 2013 have been highly rated by the Shareholders represented by R. Kibble, CPW Vice President.

We have got the CPW Excellence Awards 2013! 2014-02-21

Certain good pieces of news have come from Montreux, where the annual meeting of Cereal Partners Worldwide key employees was held. The most important CPW distinction in the ‘Safety’ category happened to be given to the Operations Division of Cereal Partners Poland, therefore, all the employees of CPP factories and warehouses have received the aforementioned award for work safety. In Montreux, CPP Vice-President for Operations, Karol R. Ferster, received the award. The CPW Statuette as for year 2013 in the ‘Culture’ category was received by CPP employees who, for over half a year, have successfully been developing the foundations of inventive method aimed at running the cereal bars’ business, while implementing the LEAN philosophy. The employees working in the bars’ factory at Lubicz, as well as members of the Lean Value Stream pillar - are among them. Also applause is deserved by the employees of CPP Marketing and Sales Divisions, who - together with workmates from other CPW markets - have contributed to the commercial success acquired in Europe by the breakfast flakes of Nestle LION.

Diamond XII for Cereal Partners Poland 2014-01-25

During the Business Centre Club’s Great Gala, the firm of CPP Toruń-Pacific became richer by winning already its Diamond XII to the Golden Statuette – Leader of Polish Business. At the Great Theatre - National Opera House, there were honoured the best Polish entrepreneurs. The Business Centre Club conferred also its special awards, which this year have been given to Prof. Michał Kleiber, President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council.
