TKK Pacific Cycling Club won the title of Polish Champion in racing, 2015-12-18

Torun’s Cycling Club Pacific has closed another successful racing season. The riders of the Club have won the title of Polish Champion of Cycling Clubs in Racing. At the celebration of closing the season  meeting the members of the club, both the riders and coaches, received congratulations  from Michal Zaleski, the President of Torun, Aleksander Becek – secretary of Polish Cycling Federation and Wojciech B. Sobieszak, the President of Cereal Partners Poland Torun-Pacific. CPP Torun-Pacific is the Company which has been the main sponsor and supporter of the Club since 1994. Great news is that the Company has extended the sponsorship contract for the next season!

This year was exceptional for Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific, not only because of celebrating its 25th anniversary, but also because the Company has closed the year with top production volume. The Company has increased the sales of breakfast cereal of about 4% in Poland, at the same time increasing export values.  Every year, during the annual year-closing meeting ten best CPP employees are awarded. What is more, this year CPP CEO has also distinguished over 50 employees for their exceptional effort put into their work for CPP. Many honorable guests, including the representatives of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (UMK), attended the annual year-end meeting. During the meeting, the close and lasting cooperation between the Company and its Torun Alma Mater was highlighted; especially the successful cooperation between CPP and UMK in 2005 while organizing Torun Festival of Science and Art was mentioned.

December traditionally is a time to sum up. It is also the time to sum up CPW Central Europe Cluster results. During the meeting in Warsaw the management team was glad to announce the current year results. Sales volume was 6% higher compared to last year, sales value grew by 4%, and financial result is higher by ¼! Such good results place the cluster in the top rank of Cereal Partners Worldwide sub regions. Central Europe takes second place, following Great Britain and preceding i.a. Australia and New Zealand. Do not refrain from the applause!

Gazeta Wyborcza daily newspaper in its national issue has published an extensive interview with Wojciech B. Sobieszak, the CEO of Cereal Partners Poland. Among other things, the article also relates to the 25th anniversary of the CPP’s operation that the company is celebrating this year. The story of CPP is a good example of a successful transformation performed on a state owned enterprise which was on the verge of insolvency and owing to foreign funds was transformed into a joint venture successful on a global scale.

CPP Toruń-Pacific, the manufacturer of Nestle breakfast cereal,  was showered with compliments and honours - this is how Friday’s 25th anniversary celebration can be best summarized. The event gathered many honourable guests including management of Cereal Partners Worldwide which Toruń-Pacific has been a part since 1994.

Janusz Piechociński – Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and Minister of the Economy - has awarded CPP for promoting Polish economy. Nestlé breakfast cereal and cereal bars produced in Torun and Lubicz are distributed to over 40 countries: mainly in Europe, Turkey, Russia and the countries of the Persian Gulf. Cereal Partners Poland is one of the biggest food exporters in Poland. 70% of CPP’s production volume is exported.

While in the Dutch city of Utrecht the famed cycling race Tour de France started on 4 July with former racers of Toruń Pacific Cycling Club Michał Kwiatkowski and Michał Gołaś, in the old town of Toruń Nestle Fitness Tour de Toruń was held for best female riders in Poland. The 4th road race for Polish National Road Race Championships held on the picturesque roads of the old town was an unusual atttraction for the local community and tourists. Among 50 female racers Monika Brzeźna a racer from Torun Nestle Fitness Cycling Team turned out to be the best and won gold medal.

During the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of University founding, the senate meeting was held by the University patron Nicolaus Copernicus monument in the Old Town Square, Wojciech B. Sobieszak was granted NCU Ambassador Title by the NCU Rector Professor Andrzej Tretyn. The President of CPP was among those eminent graduates of NCU, who are NCU’s renowned graduates and support the University and promote its good name.

The readers of „Hurt & Detal” monthly magazine – one of the most influential magazines on the commercial market of Polish FMCG magazines – for the fifth time have awarded the “Gold Receipt 2015 Prize – Award of Polish Tradesmen.” The purpose of the Award is to distinct the best products on the FMCG market. In the breakfast products category the Gold Receipt was given to gluten free breakfast cereal Nestlé CORN FLAKES – which is undisputed leader on the market.  On behalf of President of the Board of Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific Przemysław Gołek, the Key Accounts Manager,  received the Award.

The factory of Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific, which is the manufacturer of Nestlé breakfast cereal, held the celebration of summing up the second edition of apprenticeship program for students called „YES 4 YETI 2.0” (Youth Employment & Training Initiative). The initiative aims at supporting and enforcing the development of students on the job market.

The Employees of Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific (CPP), company which is the sponsor of Toruń Pacific Cycling Club, look up to fit cyclists of our Club and decide to follow their footsteps and also work on their stamina by taking part in Run Toruń. Around 2000 runners took part in Sunday’s run, among the participants were also 30 employees of CPP who proudly represented the Nestlé Fitness brand. Robert Wojnar, who used to be an eminent cyclist of TKK Pacific, currently a CPP employee, managed to get the 2nd place among inhabitants of Toruń in the 10 km run. Aleksander Wasilewski, the vice President of board and Financial Director of CPP, managed to beat his life record in the 10km run. He improved his record time over 2,5 minutes!

"Rzeczpospolita" - the prestigious and most commonly cited daily paper - has awarded the best exporters. The President of board Mr Wojciech B. Sobieszak as well as his company Cereal Partners Poland were also amongst the elite of the ones awarded Export Eagles and gained the title of The Best Person of Export and the Best Export Product respectively. The awards were given by the Kuyavian- Pomeranian Marshal and the representatives of the newspaper during the regional gala in Toruń.

On Saturday in the Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń was the place where the events of the celebration of the International Theatre Day took place and on that day many artists achieved distinctions. Paweł Kowalski was given the title of The Most Popular Actor of the Theatre in Toruń and was awarded Wilam Statuette. The most popular actor received  a voucher for a foreign travel sponsored by CPP Toruń-Pacific. He received the voucher from the President of the Board of CPP – Wojciech Sobieszak. Large audience gathered during the event and all the viewers had the chance to see the first performance of Kansas play directed by Marcin Wierzchowski. The theatre award committee decided that the Great Wilam Award will go to the theatre director – Jadwiga Oleradzka, who is retiring later this year after 18 years of cooperation with the theatre in Toruń.

The Meeting of Shareholders has given the vote of approval to the Board of Directors Cereal Partners Poland for the very good year of 2014. As a prove of good results, Richard Kibble, vice-president Cereal Partners Worldwide, representing the shareholders of our firm, handed over to Wojciech B. Sobieszak, president CPP, the statuette certifying the title of CPW Silver Market awarded to Poland. The gold was won by the German market.

Wojciech B. Sobieszak, president Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific, has been honoured by Michał Zaleski with the „Thorunium”, the highest award granted by the Mayor of Toruń City. The ceremonial act of awarding the medal took place during the Sports Ball - due to the fact that president Sobieszak and Toruń-Pacific company have for many years been recognized as patrons of Toruń culture and sport. Since 1994, the company has been a partner of the Toruń Cycling Club Pacific. Michał Kwiatkowski - a foster child of the Club and the last year’s cycling world champion, received during the ball the award of Super Angel, while Paulina Brzeźna-Bentkowska, TCC female cyclist happened to be in the circle of 10 most popular athletes of Toruń.

The 22nd Gala of Polish Business Leaders is already behind us. On 24th January, at the Grand Theatre – National Opera House, the awards of Diamonds, Nominations, and Golden Statuettes were given to the best Polish entrepreneurs. Wojciech B. Sobieszak and the firm managed by him - Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific also happened to be among the rewarded persons and entities. The firm and its president received the Diamond XIII to Golden Statuette – Leader of Polish Business as a confirmation of the firm’s stable financial and market position. Since the year of 2002, CPP Toruń-Pacific company has continuously been present in the circle of leaders.
