The inauguration of the 2022/2023 academic year at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń was an opportunity for first-year students to take a ceremonial oath, but also to present awards to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Faculty. Among those who received a medal were Mikołaj Bogdanowicz, Voivode of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and a graduate of the Faculty. Wojciech Sobieszak, Chairman of the Faculty Business Council, encouraged students beginning their higher education to make the most of their time in higher education.
Medals for Merit to the Faculty were awarded to:
Mikołaj Bogdanowicz, Voivode of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship
Dr. Dorota Górecka (Department of Applied Computer Science and Mathematics in Economics)
Dr. Krzysztof Kannenberg (Department of Economics).
Awards commemorating the 50th anniversary of their work at the Faculty were received by:
Dr. Hab. Włodzimierz Karaszewski (Department of Investment and Real Estate)
Prof. Dr. Hab. Jerzy W. Wiśniewski (Department of Econometrics and Statistics)
Prof. Dr. Hab. Zenon Wiśniewski (Department of Labor Resource Management)
The Faculty authorities also awarded the best student and graduate:
Maria Kajewska, B.A. – best graduate
Marta Czarkowska, M.A. – best student
The inauguration ceremony took place on October 5th in the Nicolaus Copernicus University Auditorium. After the ceremony, Prof. Małgorzata Jaworek and Prof. Włodzimierz Karaszewski presented W. Sobieszak, as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CPP Toruń-Pacific, with a copy of their book on foreign investments in Poland. The book describes the investment case of General Mills and Nestle, which are shareholders of CPP Toruń-Pacific.
