Cereal Partners Poland Toru\u0144-Pacific (CPP) and the Grabie Social Welfare Home, run by the Sisters of St. Elizabeth, share a special relationship. The home is a regular recipient of CPP’s in-kind assistance. As a result, Nestl\u00e9 cereal and cereal bars have become a permanent part of the home’s menu. These include children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual disabilities. Company employees also volunteer to help the residents. Wojciech B. Sobieszak, Chairman of the CPP Supervisory Board, extended CPP’s congratulations on their anniversary to the Elizabethan Sisters, who have run the home since its inception.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I remember vividly the first time, in the early 2000s, I visited the Grabie Social Welfare Home with Professor W\u0142odzimierz Karaszewski from Nicolaus Copernicus University, who helped the Elizabethan Sisters establish a foundation to support the Home.” I admired the dedication of the sisters and the staff caring for the children and young people there. It must be admitted that this is not an easy task. We then decided that the company would also support the residents by donating cereal and cereal bars. Over time, our employees also joined in this support for the home in Grabie, volunteering to help the sisters renovate the home and the adjacent park,” recalls Wojciech B. Sobieszak, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CPP, who, while still president of the company, initiated the collaboration with the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Elizabeth.<\/p>\n

The company also provided financial support to the Social Welfare Home in Grabie on numerous occasions during the Marshal’s Charity Ball. The home in Grabie was a frequent beneficiary of the auctions held during the ball.<\/p>\n

The Social Welfare Home in Grabie was founded a hundred years ago by the Sisters of St. Elizabeth. The congregation runs it to this day. After World War I, the residents of the home were mainly children orphaned during the war. Today, the Grabie Nursing Home houses several dozen residents. These include children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual disabilities.<\/p>\n
