After 52 years since our high school graduation, we met again within the walls of our alma mater, Michał Kosmowski High School in Trzemeszno. It is the second oldest secondary school in the Poznań region, after Marysińka in Poznań.

The history of this institution is extraordinary, and the list of its alumni is even more remarkable. Associated with the school were, among others: Hipolit Cegielski – philologist, industrialist, social activist, journalist, and politician; Jędrzej Śniadecki – physician, biologist, chemist, and philosopher; Marian Langiewicz – general and dictator of the January Uprising; Archbishop Florian Stablewski – Primate of Poland; Father Kazimierz Zimmermann – Rector of the Jagiellonian University; Józef Przyborowski – the first Polish archaeologist; Wojciech Trąmpczyński – Marshal of the Sejm; Kazimierz Grus – caricaturist; and Jerzy Hulewicz – painter, writer, and playwright.

The school’s current name is the General and Vocational School Complex in Trzemeszno.
