To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Polish theater scene in Toruń, the Wilam Horzyca Theater awarded special distinctions to its long-time friends. Wojciech B. Sobieszak was among those honored with the Theater’s anniversary medal. During his tenure as president, Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific repeatedly funded special awards for its most popular actors and supported the production of the Theater’s original productions, including “Five Roses for Jennifer” and a rock version of “The Wedding.” Since 2020, W. B. Sobieszak has chaired the company’s Supervisory Board.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Polish theater scene in Toruń, the provincial and city authorities awarded the Wilam Horzyca Theater special medals, recognizing the contribution of the entire Toruń theater ensemble to the development of the cultural life of the city and region. Due to the pandemic, the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Polish theater were scaled back and postponed to 2021. The anniversary season concluded on Sunday, May 30th.
