Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU) in Toruń is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. 2025 has been declared the Year of Anniversaries at Nicolaus Copernicus University, as the university also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Medical Academy in Bydgoszcz and the 20th anniversary of the merger of the Medical Academy in Bydgoszcz with the Nicolaus Copernicus University, which resulted in the establishment of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Medical College. One of the highlights of the anniversary celebrations was a gala dinner hosted by the Rector Magnificus, Professor Andrzej Tretyn. At this prestigious event, Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific was represented by Wojciech B. Sobieszak, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, a Nicolaus Copernicus University graduate, and University Ambassador.
Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific is a long-standing partner of Nicolaus Copernicus University. This collaboration encompasses a wide range of activities, including organizing Yes 4 YETI workshops, which prepare students for entering the job market. Since 2005, CPP has also been a patron of the Toruń Science and Art Festival, the largest popular science event in the region. The festival is jointly organized by Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK), the City of Toruń, and the Toruń Scientific Society and attracts thousands of participants from across Poland. This year’s festival will open on April 25th.
Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is one of the largest universities in Poland, with a rich history and many achievements. UMK currently has 17,807 students, including 1,067 foreigners. The university employs 4,410 people, of whom 2,379 are academic teachers and 2,031 are non-academic staff. UMK consists of 16 faculties offering 111 fields of study. On February 19th, the anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus, the patron of UMK, the culmination of the Year of Jubilees will be the University Festival.
