Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is proud of the dynamic activities of the Business Council at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management (WNEiZ UMK). This advisory body plays a key role in shaping students’ futures and strengthening cooperation between the academic community and the broader business world.

Composition and Structure of the Council
The Chairman of the Business Council is Wojciech B. Sobieszak, who also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific (CPP). Sobieszak, a NCU graduate and a University ambassador, brings his extensive experience to the Council, which translates into effective activities for students and the university. Małgorzata Szalewska-Urbańska, Vice President of the Management Board of CPP, also serves on the Council, confirming the strong ties between CPP and UMK.

Plenary Session of the Business Council
On November 26, 2020, the plenary session of the Business Council at the WNEiZ UMK took place. The main topic of the session was changes in the Council’s structure and the expansion of its membership to include representatives of small businesses and social organizations. The discussion was fruitful and full of inspiring ideas that will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of the Council and the entire Faculty.

Collaboration with Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific
Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific (CPP) has been a strategic partner of the University for many years. CPP is a patron of the Toruń Science and Art Festival, which attracts thousands of participants annually, promoting science and culture. Furthermore, since 2013, CPP, in cooperation with the Faculty, has organized a series of Yes4YETI workshops for students entering the job market. These workshops are an excellent opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and skills that will help young people launch their professional careers.
