Nestlé Corn Flakes, gluten-free corn flakes produced at the Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific (CPP) factory in Toruń, have earned the “Made in Toruń” certificate. Wojciech B. Sobieszak, Chairman of the CPP Supervisory Board, accepted the certificate from Mayor Michał Zaleski. The certificate presentation ceremony took place on March 13th at Nicolaus Bank Cafe.

“The history of breakfast cereal production in Toruń began in 1977. That’s when the first ‘instant’ corn flakes rolled off the production line,” recalls Wojciech B. Sobieszak, then a student doing an internship at Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego (Potato Industry Enterprise), which was transformed into Toruń-Pacific in the early 1990s. In 1994, the company was acquired by Nestlé and General Mills and joined the Cereal Partners Worldwide group. Since 1995, cornflakes have been offered under the Nestlé Corn Flakes brand. They are the most popular breakfast product in Poland.

In addition to the breakfast cereal manufacturer, this year’s competition honored companies specializing in steel structure manufacturing, construction, beauty, food service, and cosmetics. Among the honorees were a film agency, a popular café, a sports club, a renowned designer, and a horticultural seed company.
