„YES 4 YETI” – just under such a name, there is starting on CPP initiative the program of student workshops to be realised jointly with the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Nicholas Copernicus University (UMK) in Toruń as well as the Higher School of Banking (WSB). The Youth Employment & Training Initiative is a local idea of CPP, aimed at responding on the social problem affecting young people, who – particularly in Europe – cannot find jobs. One of the reasons is the lack of experience and unfamiliarity with the firms’ realities of functioning.

The December ceremonial meeting at CPP, summing-up the year, has already been a certain tradition. On 9th December, we got to know the names of persons who in this year have received the title Employee of Year 2013 Cereal Partners Poland and won the Special Awards granted by the President of Board. Participating in the meeting was Jerzy Wenderlich, Vice-Speaker of Sejm of the Polish Republic.
Into the 20th season with the cyclists of Toruń 2013-12-09
The Toruń Cycling Club „Pacific”, in ranking of the Polish Cycling Association for year 2013, has won for the 18th time the title of Poland’s Club Champion at road-race, while at the same time winning the contest at the Kids and Youth Competition in the City of Toruń Commune, and taking the high fourth position in ranking of the Kujawy-Pomorze Province. On Monday, at the seat of CPP Toruń-Pacific, the Club’s main sponsor, there took place the season’s ceremonial summing-up. CPP President handed over to the Club an annex to the sponsorship agreement for another, already the 20th, season of cooperation. It is the only example within the Polish cycling movement of such a long and fruitful cooperation between a private firm and a social sports association.
Anna Malesza wins III International Violin Contest Toruń 2013 2013-12-02
The second place was given by the jury to Maja Syrnicka, the third was received by the Korean, Youn Eunsol. The difference in point classification between the thee was inconsiderable. Anna Malesza was the most energetic performer, which she proved during the final concert in front of a large audience. Accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra of Torun, she performed a D-dur concert of Piotr Czajkowski. Paweł Dudzik, the Director of the Orchestra, organizer of the contest as well as I Violin Festival, that was carried out alongside the competition of young virtuosos, expressed his gratitude towards the institutions that enabled the event to be carried out. CPP Torun-Pacific was also on the list of sponsors, who support young violinists from the first edition of the contest. The company that follows building good neighbourhood politics joined the initiative of the musicians community of Torun in 2007. The contest is carried out every 3 years.
CPP comes to the fire victims’ help 2013-10-23
CPP Toruń-Pacific has joined-in the helping action to the fire victims from Bydgoska Street in Toruń, who during the night of 11/12 October lost a roof over their heads. President Wojciech B. Sobieszak has handed over for fifteen families, who suffered as a result of the fire, some purchase vouchers of household utensils having a total value amounting to 15’000 PLN.
Vice president of General Mills visits CPP 2013-10-23
John Church, General Mills Inc. Vice President for Operations, spent the whole day of Wednesday in Poland. He came to Toruń for watching carefully how the business is run in Cereal Partners Poland as well as how presentable look the owned factories and the distribution centre. Since the year of 1994, General Mills Inc. has been a shareholder of CPP Toruń-Pacific, the biggest manufacturer of breakfast cereals in Central-Eastern Europe.
The Title of the Ambassador of Polish Economy for CPP 2013-09-23
President of CPP Wojciech B. Sobieszak has received the Ambassador of Polish Economy diploma on Friday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs granted to Cereal Partners Poland Toruń – Pacific, producer of Nestle breakfast cereal. 71 Polish companies were honored in the final of the 5th edition of the contest as reliable economic partners and creators of good image of Polish entrepreneurs abroad.
90th anniversary of the Polish Hunting Association 2013-09-21
On Saturday, at the Karbówko Hamlet at Elgiszewo, the Polish Hunting Association – District of Toruń celebrated its 90th anniversary. On this occasion, Wojciech B. Sobieszak, among others, received the medal “Person of Merit for Toruń Hunting Organisation”. Among the awarded persons, there were also the governor of Kujawy-Pomorze province, the mayor of Toruń, the Region’s senators and MPs. The celebrations were preceded with the ceremonial Holy Mass led by chaplain of the Polish Hunting Association.

Both gentlemen have already been to Poland at some occasions, however, in their new roles they came here for the first time. Jeff Harmening, CPW President, and Luc Imbert, CPW Head for Continental Europe, visited Toruń, Lubicz and Grębocin at the end of August, and - while on their route from and to the airport - they were watching with interest the displays of breakfast flakes at the most popular stores in Poland.

Cereal Partners sales representatives for Slovakia visited Poland to see the plant in Lubicz as an award for achieving great sales results in muesli bars. Apart from visiting the plant producing bars they were selling, they took the chance to visit also Toruń, Malbork and Gdańsk.
LEAN initiative start up in CPP 2013-06-18
On Tuesday we officially started our journey towards a “lean enterprise”. LEAN initiative for Nestle cereal bars was supported by the President of CPP signing the document that includes a mission, aims and indicators for the bar business in CPP. There were many more eager to sign the document, as LEAN initiative is also about making everyone involved in creating value for customers and consumers.

Michał Gołaś - Polish Road Champion, participant of this year’s Giro d’Italia, formerly a cyclist of TKK Pacific, currently racing for Omega Pharma Quick Step professional group – during a press conference in CPP Torun-Paific talked about the hardships of this year’s Italian track. As usual, having finished the tour, the cyclist accepted the invitation of Toruński Klub Kolarski Pacific (Cycling Club Pacific of Torun), where his success started, to share the impression from the race track.

The Polish have chosen the most trusted food industry brands. More than half of the respondents partaking in the survey carried out by the Reader’s Digest magazine have spontaneously voted for Nestlé breakfast cereal. 10% of Poles indicated Nestlé Corn Flakes as the most trustworthy brand while 5% - Nestle Nesquik. Those results have earned Nestle cereal the Golden Trusted Brand Badge. The brand has been appreciated mainly for quality of its products and strong image, due to what it has also received the Crystal European Trusted Brands 2013 Badge. In the category of breakfast cereal, the Nestlé brand has also won in Portugal, Romania, Russia and Slovenia.

On Thursday evening in Hotel City in Bydgoszcz “Gazeta Pomorska” honoured the winners of the competition for “the Manager of the year 2012”. In the poll of the readers of “Pomorska”, the first place was taken by Wojciech B. Sobieszak, the President of CPP Toruń-Pacific, who gained over 5 thousand votes. On Thursday, we also learnt the decision made by the chapter of competition, who in turn awarded the highest prize to the long-standing president of PESA from Bydgoszcz, which produces trains and trams – Tomasz Zaboklicki.

In Grand Theatre – the National Opera in Warsaw, there took place the Great Gala of Polish Business Leaders. Wojciech B. Sobieszak, the President of CPP Toruń-Pacific was granted the 11th Diamond for the Golden Statuette of Polish Business Leader. The Award is a confirmation that CPP Toruń-Pacific is developing and can sustain its great financial results. 11 companies were also awarded with the Golden Statuettes of XXII edition of the competition Leader of Polish Business. The Golden Statuette is regarded by the entrepreneurs as one of the most prestigious economic awards in Poland.
“Five roses for Jennifer” 2013-01-19
On Saturday at Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Torun, during Actors Propositions Stage the audience could see the premiere of a black comedy “Pięć róż dla Jennifer” (Five roses for Jennifer) . The play was written by Annibale Rucello, and directed by Maria Spiss. It is the second performance from the collection of works called “Cosi, gdziesi, kajsi, ktosi” based on “Wesele” (The Wedding) by S. Wyspianski that is subject to CPP Torun-Pacific patronage.
Christmas season summary 2012-12-20
On Thursday, 20th December in the offices of CPP – the main sponsor of the Club, there was held a Christmas meeting summarizing the season. Czeslaw Lang, who was the honorable guest of the meeting is a track and road cyclist, multiple medalist of Polish and world championships, currently the director of the most significant cycling race in Poland, Tour de Polgne.
